3M has created latest product pocket 3M CP45 camcorder projector that allows you to shoot 720p video footage and then show off the results to your friends by projector it on to a convenient wall. The $269 pocket-sized gadget is now on sale in United States. 3M CP45 is the first useful projector camcorder on the market
3M CP45 designed for consumers, businesses and gadget-savvy audiences (hence the high-gloss white finish), the CP45 is compact (125×61x24mm, 190g) yet manages to cram in a decent quality mobile projector and digital camorder that captures HD videos (720p) and 5-Megapixel stills at the touch of a button.

3M CP45 Pocket Projector 5-Megapixel sensor can also deliver 3- or 8-Megapixel digital stills, and there’s built-in automatic light compensation to adjust the sensitivity of the LCoS image sensor depending on the light conditions you’re shooting in. The multi-step zoom is digital rather than optical, so it’s actually best avoided.
3M CP45 Projector Camcorder is 3M’s 2nd generation projector camcorder (an upgrade to the CP40) that offers HD (720p) videos, 5mp still camera, LED flash and 2GB of memory (and a microSD slot). It also has a small 2.4″ LCD. The projector offers SVGA (800×600) resolution at 20 lumens. It includes A/V and composite inputs.
3M CP45 Pocket Projector Camcorder is definitely the brightest pico projector around at the moment with a built in camcorder. I wouldnt say 20 lumens is disappointing as 3m tend to really underestimate the brightness of their products so its more the equivalent of 30-40 lumens which when I tested it was more than bright enough to be seen in a pub in fairly bright sunlight conditions which we were amazed at. We managed to get a 30″ screen no problem on the pub wall even in the bright light and in a dark area we got a huge screen. Whichever way you look at it its at least 10 times bigger screen than the 3″ screen you get on a camcorder. 3M CP45 is the first useful projector camcorder on the market for sure
